That's one pregame show I am not watching.

It's not abnormal for people that are young to have complete recoveries from a minor stroke. He's not the first one,and he's not the last.

Congrats to the 2009 Stanley Cup Champion Pittsburgh Penguins

I can understand the frustration that the media coverage of Bruschi's stroke recovery brings to the average fan - even us Pats fans are a little fed up with the whole episode.

Im afraid that is the M.O. of the national sports media - once they got hold of an idea they tend to run it into the ground.

The constant hero-worship of Brady, Manning and the Colts is something else that drives the average fan to distraction - we KNOW how good they are when you told us the 2,000th TIME!

Another example would be the the worship of Reggie Bush - sure he looks like an exciting prospect, but it should be remembered that pro teams actually know how to tackle - which may stop him gaining 15yds after contact every carry.

They've been great for a while now, three Super Bowls' worth of great. But only this season have the New England Patriots become The Show, the must-see team of stars, pretty boys and reformed bad boys. Suddenly, the Patriots are not simply great; they're compelling, fascinating, appearing to be almighty and a touch lawless.
The Patriots didn't bother with swagger to start this NFL season; they went straight to defiant. Either you're one of them or you're about to get crushed.
