now NFL.com has us taking stewart as well... it's become a very definite possibility that our options for the first round have been narrowed down.. i'd say top 3 are:

** If Branden Albert is available he's our #1 guy but seeing as though he won't be i think the rankings go something like this:

1. Jonathan Stewart
2. Quintein Groves
3. Gosder Cherilus
4. Kenny Phillips (just to pimp my own favorite player in this draft

)
5. Phillip Merling (one more that I am beggining to have a man-love for)

NFL.com said taking someone like stewart would take some of the sacks away from ben with his running ability and his catching the ball out of the backfield.

I like Stewart, but I dont see us taking a RB in the 1st round. We have good depth now and I think that the Steelers would be better off getting a DB or DL if one of the top tier OL are not still around at 23.

had the steelers not signed moore, i woulda considered stewart a possability if he fell to 23. stewart would be the perfect compliment back for parker , and a good 3rd down recieving back. BUT, moore was obviously picked up for 3rd down duties. to me,that says stewart is not,an option. the question is, who gets cut ......russell,or dokie ???
