Yep its odd but hes most likely the only one to accept no one wants the curse no matter if its real or not lol. So yea even though he is retired you get to look at him every time you play madden!

I can live with that. Maybe he'll break the curse.., although Vince Young wasn't hurt this year. Or is it the following year the guy goes down??

Well the curse is either an injury or just overall ineffectiveness. An injury generally leads to ineffectiveness, though...

It is supposed to happen THAT year. So Vince is off the hook now.

I would say 2007, though, was a far from stellar year for Young.

9 Tds 17INTS... Titans did alright as a whole, though...

I would have to agree with you, i wouldnt say the curse ended he had a horrible year, i do think the curse is real somehow.

I may buy madden just cause favre's on the cover, lol

it was good to see brett again, though he didn't seem that much excited about being on the cover. I don't blame him though, he must still be getting used to not playing football.

letterman was asking him about his retirement papers and that he still hasn't made it "official", all he did was laugh and kinda avoid it. then said something is bound to happen around training camp.... I don't like this teasing, I would love for him to play till he's 50, but it's rodgers time

anyway....the cover looks real good

madden's man love with favre continues even after retirement, lol

Thanks to the official press release regarding the selection of Brett Favre for the cover of Madden 09 we now have the first idea of some big features in the game. The likely NFL Network duo of Tom Hammond and Cris Collinsworth will be featured as the commentators for Madden 09 and online leagues have been added. Thank god no more madden as commentator! Also here is the cover

Rumor is that this may be the last year its called Madden, and will soon be just EA NFL Football.

As long as they NEVER put a Steeler on the cover, I'll be happy. That curse carried over to the EA Football Coaches game, remember, Cowher was on the cover, same year Ben face planted a windshield, we missed the playoffs and then the coach left.

Brett might get hurt playing golf or mowing his lawn.

If the Packers and Brett both do OK this year, we may see a trend of the cover boy being a newly retired player.
