Hills was a Parade All-American TE at a class 5-A HS in Texas. It's not like he played for East Podunk Iowa or something.

And, again, I did use the word "ostensibly". If this kid avoids the injury bug, he has the potential to be great.

kirwan and ryan were just talking about him again on sirius, calling him the steelers best pick of day 2, and saying he has the best chance to push a starter for playing time this year.

i seriously doubt he he could start this year but it is possible he makes the steelers think twice about smith and starks collecting a huge deal after 08.

The kid seems like a student of the game, and he seems to have a record of overachieving and surprising people, so I would not at all be surprised if he does indeed start. But I think it's all contingent upon his health. He's a classic high risk/high reward draft pick.
