Joey Porter on ST ?

Is this new? I noticed a couple times he was on the special teams unit, has he been doing this all year and I just missed it?

He hasnt been on ST all year that I have seen.. I know we are alittle banged up so that along w/ the fact that many times in the past the Steelers have played starters on ST for big game situations.

I don't think Porter is playing special teams. I saw at least once, though, where the Steelers kept most of the starting defense in for a punt return, expecting a possible fake punt I guess.

Actually, I'd like to see a few more starters in the special teams unit as we go into the playoffs. I seem to remember the Patriots doing this with great success. Is that true Mr. LivinInThePast?

A few years ago especially now that I think about it, we had ALOT of starters on special teams becuz back when Jay Hayes was the coach our ST was so bad we had to play the starters.

I never thought of Joey on Special Teams even though he is pretty good. That was confusing. But seems to have worked..

Yup it was on a couple of punts I saw him out there, and yes he did look completely lost. I think Troy and Hope would be awesome ST players.
