Very few people outside Columbus will grasp the full meaning of that. It's a complete philosophical 180 by Tress. He's turning the team over to a Frosh, based solely on performance. It's unprecedented. He's very much like Jo Pa honoring Sr's and giving them playing time (even when it's sometimes to the detriment of the team) because of the larger message it sends about reward for service.

It's the right move, though. Boeckman was never the answer. He was an integral part in the failure against both Illinois and LSU last year, and he lacks the skills necessary to take this team to the promised land. Krenzel was a fluke. It's a new era at OSU, and from now on they will focus as much on QB recruiting as any other area on their team. Good.

Wow. Pryor took 95% of the snaps. The OSU offense was one dimensional and completely predictable and they still have a long way to go but there are signs of life in Columbus.

A) Boom Herron is definitely the second best back on the team, but he's 1/2 the back that Wells is. If you're going with the Run/Run/Pass philosophy, you need Beanie back there.
B) Pryor is the real deal. He's learning on the fly, but he's smooth as silk and seems to be a really quick study.
C) D did a good job of slowing the Troy spread. It's the best they've played against it in 3 years
D) They need to open it up against Wisconsin
