This afternoon, I heard from the nurse who schedules the surgeries and my surgery is scheduled for 12:00 noon tomorrow. I have to be at the hospital at 9:30 AM. I was relieved to hear that the surgery will be performed at UPMC-Presby instead of UPMC-Montefiore, so that was a huge relief. I had a very bad experience at Montefiore in 2003 and I wasn't too keen on going back there.

I was in to see my ENT doc today (who saved my life in 2001) and he is going to be in the O.R. tomorrow while I'm being operated on. He refers a lot of cases to my surgeon and they've worked together for years. He said he is going to be there mostly for moral support, as he and I are very close. It is comforting to know that I will definitely have an "angel" by my side during the operation!

Thank you all again for your prayers, love and support at a time I need them the most!

Love you all!
Marianne

I will stop whatever I'm doing at noon sharp tomorrow to say a prayer for you, Marianne. It's comforting to know that your ENT doc will be there as well - that says a lot

We'll miss you, but we'll be here when you return

There's not much to miss, you'll be back very soon. It'll just feel like an extended weekend.

I think I'd rather enjoy a weekend at a Steelers away game!

Believe me - I hate being confined to the hospital, but I'm not going to push anything. I'm going to have to have another surgery in 2-3 months so that they can put new mesh back in my forehead and I want to be completely recovered before even thinking about undergoing the next operation.

Y'all be good while I'm gone, OK?

naaahhhhh!

hey, if they give you that little morphine pump thingy, push it once for me. i hear that can be kinda fun and relieving.

im hoping your op isnt the type that will leave you in too much pain while recovering. as strong as you are, i can understand your fear. just know when that fear creeps in, how much love and support you got backing you.
