I really like his passion and energy he brings to the table, but if anything, he needs to hire a GM and back away just a bit(even Jimmy J has talked about this numerous times), b/c there are times where he does get a bit too cute.
you mean like getting 3 baseball players to be his "franchise" qb (carter, hutchinson, henson)?

some think cowher will go to the browns. i feel the best opportunity to entice him out of retirement, is doing just what you said, and bring him to the cowboys (not sure if colbert could/would join).

i do know jones would pay for it and like it (even if he gave cowher all control).

That's also an option to look out for-Jerry IS funding the new stadium to open next year(the Ravens game is the finale in a couple of weeks), and I wouldn't be surprised if he makes a run and opens up his wallet for him...which would also bring in who knows how much more revenue.

OTOH-here's the big question-will Cowher WANT to? IOW-he's not going to have full control, b/c Jerry has a pretty big voice in player personnel as well. And how would he like the idea of working with Terrell Owens? Even the majority of coaches around the league have said they would take CJ over TO in a heartbeat. And considering Jerry's history of gambling on troubled players, how would Cowher feel about this?

Overall-just alot of things to ponder about.

cowher doesnt need or necessarilly want full control. he can work for any "boss" in the league. he has proven it, and is one of the major things that make him such a high commodity. he's just not a "step on the toes of the owner" sort of guy. he can certainly convince the owner that his way is the "winning" way though.

he walked away from one of the best, most secure jobs in sports (look at the ease mike tomlin has transitioned into his new position).

a blockbuster deal can bring him back (IMO) and only jerry jones can offer it.

cowher could do wonders for TO. he could convince him to "buy in".

with cowher, jerrry jones would know he no longer needed to gamble (no cokeheads such as michael irvin or lawrence taylor would need to be central figures in championship runs). it would clean up the image of the franchise. cowher cant clean staph infections and curses from the browns.

i really think cowher is happy. but i also think the ball is in jerry jones billion dollar court when it comes to coaxing him out of retirement.

It was a no brainer.

I think it's his 3rd of the season. He's the only coach to have won it 3 times, and only McCarthy has two

With 4 games remaining he could win at least 1 more

This could help for him to be coach of the year

Really, who has been more impressive than him? Can only think in Mike Smith and Tony Sparano coming close to him

giants or titans coach will win it. tomlin will always be looked at as having been handed over great talent from a great owner, with a great d-coord.

idiiots probably think cam cameron, norv turner, or lane kiffen coulda won with the steelers.

Congrats to Mike Tomlin for winning another coach of the week. While Tomlin seriously deserves consideration for coach of the year, I have to believe that Couglin or Fisher gets it. Coughlin for keeping his team competitive with off the field issues and continuing to win after the super bowl. Fisher for having the Titans playing so well with Collins at QB.
