The fact that he was later permitted to strike a plea deal to a lesser charge and avoid the murder rap is more indicative of the justice system in this country dealing with celebrities involved in crimes with kid gloves more than him being innocent. Another example of this phenomenon is Pacman Jones - he's another one who would probably be behind bars right now if it weren't for the fact that he's a pro jock.
