NFL flexes four games with playoff implications
Associated Press NEW YORK -- The Miami Dolphins will try to wrap up the AFC East title against the New York Jets at 4:15 p.m. on Sunday. The NFL announced the starting times for its final week games Monday under the "flex scheduling" system that allows it to put more attractive games in the later starting times. The league had already announced that the Denver-San Diego game for the AFC West title will be played at 8:15 p.m. Sunday night. Miami, 1-15 last season and 10-5 now, needs a victory to wrap up the division. If the Jets win, New England (10-5) could capture its sixth straight division title if it wins at Buffalo in a 1 p.m. start. Two other games also were switched to 4:15 p.m.:
The Cowboys could gain a wild-card spot with a victory. The Eagles could also make the playoffs if they win and Tampa Bay loses at home to Oakland in a game that will start at 1 p.m. Baltimore (10-5) could also make the playoffs with a win after finishing 5-11 last season. http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=3787153
