Wow...Madden 04? Interesting. I thought 05 was pretty decent...the last one I played for the regular X-Box....all of the ones on the "Next Gen" consoles have been crap, IMO. Playing feature catch up.

On this note, it's amazing that they can charge $59 every year to add features they took out when they went to the PS3/360. I find it hilarious.

Yeah, the big "feature" for Madden 09 was the "juke stick". So when you move quickly left, you juke left, and vice versa. Too bad they had that in 2k5 and probably before then...

09 big "feature" is not the juke stick.. if i remember correctly they had what it is now in the versions of 08 and maybe 07..

the big "thing" in this edition was that the Game adapts to you.

I thought in 08' and 07' you used one stick to run and the other to juke and what not...

In this on you use the same stick you use to run, but if you move it quickly left or right you juke...

Regardless, it was done back on 2k5 if not in earlier versions of 2k.

Argh! I just got back from playing a buddy online (I was the Steelers, he was the Eagles) and Westbrook is unstoppable. He isn't very good at Madden so he either runs it up the gut, or does a long bomb.

When I knew he was running up the gut I would do a pinch out of the 3-4 and also bunch my linemen up in the middle. I would then take Casey Hampton and proceed to get trucked over and dragged for 5 yards by Westbrook!

On the long bomb plays I would highlight who I though was his hot receiver (which I was usually right) and he would throw into triple coverage and still come up with the ball 90% of the time.

AARGH!!!

that sucks and yet funny, westbrook dragging hampton for 5 yards. hampton would eat him whole!!! the only time i play madden is when im at my brother's house, which he is one of those gifted 'gamers' he can pick up a game and in less than a hour he is already really good at it. the only games i know i can own him in is NPPL chamionship paintball (cant do multiplayer on the same xbox so we havent been able to play each other but im in the top 10 in that game so i know i can handle him), Mortal Kombat vs DC Universe and NHL 09 other than that anything else we play he will OWN me

One of the biggest issues with the 09 Madden and NCAA are horrible D line play. You can't get any pressure on the QB with them and they have a tendency to get eaten alive in the ground game.

It is either that, or the exact opposite.

Either D-linemen are getting trucked over, or they are in the backfield taking the hand off. There isn't a "happy medium" between the two.

None the less it was done at least 3 years ago on 2k5, what took so long?
