Round 1 of the Divisionals is over, and so is the New England Patriots Reign of Terror. Nothing lasts forever in sports, and obviously it was going to come to an end sooner or later, so let's get started.
Washington played a better game offensively, maybe because TB has a better D, or else they played that much better. It always hurts to drop a ball in the endzone on 4th down, better luck next time Santana Moss. Shaun Alexander went down early, but it wasn't going to wind the Seahawks, they are a determined team. Hosting Chicago/Carolina next week should be good, I personally am Rooting for them in the NFC. I don't really have a lot to say about this game. Good luck Seattle, congrats Washington on a great season. As they say, "To be the Champion, you have to beat the Champion" New England is the champion, and Denver just defeated them. Terrific job by both teams, it was well fought, but in the end, little mistakes hurt New England. 3 fumbles on Special Teams? That is almost asking for terror, not to mention one on offense. An Interception, that went for nearly a TD, BTW Legal hit by Watson, glad to see no one said it was a cheap shot... (So far I haven't seen this). What an effort by Benny. In the end, Denver really didn't dominate New England on offense. DEFENSE WINS CHAMPIONSHIPS. Denver proved their defense is great. They scored on Two touchdowns of 1 yard, 1 after a ridiculous PI Call, and the other on Champs INT. They kicked 2 successful FG. And then they got another TD, off a turnover. Credit, all of it.. Goes to Denver's Defense. Tom Brady is still a great player, he is not perfect, but what a game. 341 yards, 1 TD, but threw 2 INT... One was in a bundle of players, so chances are good it will be Picked off. The Interception by Champ was the turning point. New England scores, they tie 13-13, but denver scored, and went up 20-6. Congratulations, to Denver, I will be rooting for you to win the AFC, like I said, maybe not on here but I did to myself earlier this week. I am also glad I didn't do what I did to Jacksonville last week with Denver, because I knew they were the real deal. Good luck vs Indianapolis or Pittsburgh. Tommorrow will come a new Post Game Rant, after 8 PM EST. |
