It's football season and it's time to pull out the crock pots. (My wife and I have 3 of them, my mother has 2, because I gave her one of mine.) Keep in mind, these are very basic recipes with the idea that you tinker with it to taste.
ALPO 1lb Ground Beef 1lb Sausage I use Hot Italian, my mother uses Bob Evans breakfast sausage) 1 large block of Velveeta Cheese Brown up the meats together making sure that it's very crumbled. Drain. I use paper towels to suck up the rest of the fat/oils still in the meat Cut up Velveeta into 1 inch squares and mix all of this together in Crockpot. Turn crockpot on low (if early in the day) stirring semi-frequently. Once all the cheese is melted, scoop onto some hamburger buns and you have a cheesy sloppy joe that we call Alpo. I like to finely chop up some fresh garlic and cook with the meat and if I'm going spicy, I'll cook some peppers in with the meat as well. By cooking and draining, a lot of the heat leaves, but the flavor is left behind ************************************************** *************************** Toxic Waste 1 large block of Velveeta Cheese 1 small block of Velveeta Cheese (Mexican) 1 small jar of Jalapenos 1 jar of Salsa Cut Velveeta cheese into one inch squares, throw all the ingredients into crock pot on low and stir semi-frequently. Can be reheated in microwave. If it's too thick for chips, you have several options...toss in 3/4 cup of milk and stir in or replace small block of velveeta with Salsa con Queso. Easy to make chip dip that tends to go over well. Since the OSU game isn't til later, I don't have to start this until (roughly) Michigan vs Notre Dame. By the time halftime rolls around, my family will be eating the Alpo and enjoying the chips/dip. Once I am done enjoying/watching Coach Rich-Rod whoop on Weis (one of the few times I'll ever root for that traitor to win), I'll have time to run to the store, get another jar of Salsa con Queso and some more chips and whatever else the wife wants from the store. Be back in time to finish the dishes and still make kickoff. GO BUCKS!!!!

My house (literally) has two full kitchens (two fridges, two stoves, two microwaves, the whole shebang). My wife and I both love to cook.
In fact, "canning season" is about to begin as well. I'll have to dig out my recipe for "pepper jelly". (Surprisingly tasty).

This sounds GREAT!! Too bad you have brain damage. I have an Italian wife. She's a great cook. I want to enlarge our kitchen. I have 3 fridges, one freezer-need another. But I need to make a bigger kitchen.
