Default Mike Webster wins case against NFL

Link to story on Yahoo Sports

Also, the judge found that steriods played NO PART in Webster's poor health conditions. He used for a short time, and found that they did nothing for his so he stopped.

Also, steriod users lose a lot of weight and get "flabby" when they stop using.Webster died two pounds heavier than his playign weight, proving that his muscle was not from 'roids.Looking at the Super Steelers players,I don't recall any of them becoming "flabby" after retirement. So stick that in your pipe and smoke it Jim Hasslet!

The league should be ashamed of themselves. When Mike Webster applied, they should have given him assistance.I am glad that his estate is getting the money, but I wish he would have gotten it when he needed it.

May God rest his soul.

This is a guy that any NFL team would be proud to have, he was the definition of hard work, Steroids aside, because in the 70`s most guys did take them

Being of age...My first memory of Mike Webster is watching PIT games in the winter on tv and seeing everyone bundled up and having their breath freeze up when shouting on the field between snow drifts. And then there he was, even before I would see it years later on NFL films, this rock of a man jogging up to the line from the huddle with no, I mean no, extra clothing except his game jersey taped tight to his pads. Completely into the game and the current down. You saw his eyes start to look at the other players almost to the point of seeing which player didn't want the play to come towards him. Then he would turn his head to Terry, turn back and make a couple points to spots or players. Then the ball snapped, we kept people off Bradshaw long enough or opened a hole for Franco and it started all over again. I will always respect this man and his impact on our team, philosophy, and the game itself.

Back in the 80`s the Steelers drafted John Reinstra, 1st round out of Nebraska. As a gaurd. He was suppose to be the next Mike Webster of O linemen, he had mental problem and was a bust. But anyway I read an article where he said that he went to train one day with Iron Mike after practice. He said" Mike let me train with him one day at Three Rivers Stadium after a full days practice. Mike was going to run the stadium bleachers, top to bottom, from field level to the very top row they started climbing, then all the way down. He said he was just ready to stop, figuring they were finished, when Mike said that was one. He asked how many are you planning on doing Mike answered 25, top to bottom. The 23 year old rookie ended up finishing 3, Mike ran out all 25 woth out stopping. This my friends was a man, actually he was an animal.
Mike R.I.P. To your family he earned that money, be smart.
