Congrats Matt...he's a cool dude.

Look out for Gordon this year, though. It just came out the guys had all kinds of previously undisclosed back problems that are finally fixed. I expect him to have a really strong year.

By the by, for those keeping track, under the old rules he'd now have 7 Cups.

Well, I was kinda disappointed as a Harvick fan. I'm not gonna whine 'cause Kenseth got it, but who knows. With 48 laps to go, as good a car as Harvick had (the one he won the Bud Shooutout in) it would've been interesting to see if he coulda gotten his second Daytona 500 win. But, here's to finishing second

HAMPTON, Ga. -- NASCAR fans will be able to buy tickets to the Kobalt Tools 500 at the Atlanta Motor Speedway for $17 beginning Monday morning thanks to the win by Matt Kenseth in the Daytona 500 Sunday.

That's because Kenseth drives the number 17 Ford and officials at the Atlanta Motor Speedway announced that 1,000 $95 tickets will be sold at a price matching the number of the winning car at Daytona.

its not allowed. whats also not allowed is running a 6 car team but there are ways around that....

technically stewart and newman are running hendrick cars. they are stewart/haas in name only. how bout that hugging lovefest between hendrick and stewart after the busch race.

btw - I called Atlanta speedway - they already sold out the first 1000 tickets for $17.
The next best deal is one at regular $95 price and 2nd ticket for $17.
