agreed. I use my xbox 360 religiously. ps3 is good for watching blu ray but there isnt anything gaming wise the xbox doesnt do the same or better. esp in the online play. xbox live is by far and away the best

When I do buy a new system itll be the 360. Im just not impressed with the ps3

If you like online gaming...360 is the way to go. If you are interested in Blu Ray, the PS3 has most of the same games and graphics are mostly the same...plus you kill two birds with one stone. Other then that, they are pretty similar.

Maybe you can answer this for me whats the deal with blu ray? Is it just a better High Def?

There is no HD DVD anymore. There was a "media war" between Blu-ray and HD DVD, similar to VHS vs. Betamax, and Blu-ray won. The Blu-ray has over 6 times the storage space of a standard DVD, leading to better graphics for games and a higher quality for movies.

the ps3 was the best platform at the recent e3 showing..

and the 360 is killing the halo series i think...
they are coming out w/ another one

oUr TV was going down for the count (2 year old 42 inch flatscreen). SO my wife called the warranty company. They said they can't fix it, the parts of no longer available. Take it back to Costco. Costco just GAVE US OUR MONEY BACK (I will ALWAYS buy from costco from now on!)

So we got a 55 inch flatscreen basically for 200 dollars... and we need a blu-ray player right? And something to download movies on right?

Yeah, I talked my wife into buying a PS3 too.

I love it.

I already pre-bought Madden 2010. For me, that game, hockey, a race game, and a shoot em up game is all I really need. I'll play them over and over. SO to have that, and the blu-ray, and the ability to now order Netflix online? Yeah. I am set.

Lots of the new blu-ray standalone players have netflix capabilities. I think it's cool as poop.

I personally have no desire for a Blu-Ray player so I'm perfectly happy with my 360. Does what I need it to do so it's all I need.
