Sedins stay in Vancouver

That would of been interesting if they hit the market where they could of ended up.

12:01, lets see who will be the first big name to sign

You are indeed correct.

i dont think we will get him, Havlat is pretty set on a long term deal and i dont think Shero is gonna dish out a long term deal on a injury proned player

And Mattias Ohlund is the first major player to go - he signed with the Lightning.

As for Havlat, forget it, unless the Pens can trade Pascal Dupuis. They only have a little more than $5 million to spend, and they aren't going to spend it all on one player.

7 years, $3.75 mm per year.

Huh? Was Brian Lawton under the influence when he offered that contract? Ohlund is 32 for crying out loud. Horrible contract, from perhaps the worst GM in the league.

For anyone interested, NHL.com is streaming NHL live until 2pm, then it will pick up the TSN broadcast until 6pm. If you have XM, then this means nothing.

he lost his creditbility with me when he was one of the people calling for fighting to be banned (i believe it was him).

good move to bring in Ohlund, bad move on the contract

Yes, he was one, along with Mike Modano, the puss that he is. Wings' GM Ken Holland was also on that bandwagon, which is yet one more reason to hate Detroit.

Modano may be a puss but he was one of my favorite players growing up. My first year playing hockey i wore number 9 (this was a little after the 98 olympics) until i changed to defense and changed my number again.
