Hopefully they trade Dupuis + draft picks/prospect for Glencross

Then the lineup is set

Kunitz - Crosby - Guerin
Glencross - Malkin - Talbot
Cooke - Staal - Kennedy
Rupp - Adams - Godard

They better not friggin trade Godard, they need him bad. Look how much money Orr and Brashear got today

Rupp is a center so him and Adams would be swaped

im really not sure if Glencross is a top 6 forward. He has only scored 20 goals twice, one in college the other in junior A. Trading Dupuis would free up more room for us to bring in a true top 6.

Marian Gaborik signs with the New York Rangers. Definately cant settle with Curtis Glencross as a top 6 forward now

They wouldn't trade for Glencross to put him in the bottom 6. Many players dont develop their game untill their late 20s where Glencross is at

Trading Dupuis is easier said than done. He basically has a 'negative value' because of his salary.....meaning you have to add something

And you dont trade a top 6 guy for a fourth liner with a higher salary, even with a pick/prospect attached. Historically most players top out stat wise around his age. Three of the best players of all-time had there career seasons before there were 25 and then didnt reach those marks again.

He played pretty good in his first full season in the NHL, 40 points in 74 games, but it feels like they would be 'settling' with Glencross instead of going out there and trying to get someone bigger.

Everyone in the Atlantic, and the Canadiens are getting better and i dont want to see the Pens big move of the off season to bring in another winger who doesnt have a proven track record as top 6 guy.

I guess we will find out, looking over insidepittsburghsports.com, Mark Eaton's name was thrown out there as posbbile bait.
