Big Ben has the potential to put up drew brees #'s. As long as our o-line gets better and willie parker does good, that will open up the passing game.

I don't think we'll ever pass THAT much. After all, Brees is only the 2nd QB in NFL history to go over 5,000 yards passing in a season when he came within 15 yards of breaking Marino's single-season record last year.

I agree that I don't think we'll ever pass that much. But we could. Ben has the talent and supporting cast. Especially if Sweed pans out.

Because it's not very realistic given the way our team has historically played and chances are if he's putting the ball in the air that much, we're losing a lot of games. After all, what does Brees ultimately have to show for almost breaking Marino's single-season yardage record last season besides an 8-8 record and a last-place finish in the NFC South? Add to that the fact that not one of the teams that had one of the top 5 QBs in the NFL in terms of passing yardage last season (Brees, Warner, Cutler, Rodgers, and Rivers, in that order) won more than 9 games. I want wins, not gaudy passing numbers.
