Default A Joe Greene Question?

Does Mean Joe get a ring for a Steelers Super Bowl victory? I know I saw him helping at training camp, but I wasn`t sure of his exact role or title. Is he still with the team in some capacity? It would be fitting for the " One For The Thumb" founder to get his thumb ring, if everything goes well

I believe I read he would be.

The people who work in Football operations side of the business get one. People who do office work or general work for the Steelers unrelated to football operations do not (i.e. secretaries, ticket reps, front office personnel, etc.).

http://media3.steelers.com/team/frontoffice/

it says he is a special assistant in the front office so I would think he would get a ring

He was at the Senior Bowl practices representing the Steelers too, He's still very much involved in the organization...

Unlike hockey (only with the name on the cup instead of a ring), in the NFL anybody can get a ring. If I recall correctly an announcer once got a ring.

anyone who contributes to the teams success should get one. Peyton Manning therefore, finally gets his ring.

That is awesome that Mean Joe Green could get 5 Steelers Super Bowl Rings! What better a player to truly get "One for the Thumb"!
