Browns' Hadnot injures knee
By George M. Thomas Beacon Journal staff writer BEREA: Injury-free training camp days ended for the Browns during practice Thursday when guard Rex Hadnot went down with an apparent injury to his left leg. Hadnot, playing left guard, was in pass protection when fellow lineman George Foster blocked rookie linebacker David Veikune into him. Viewing the tape, it looked as if Hadnot's left knee buckled beneath him. Hadnot laid on the turf for several moments until members of the training staff arrived with a cart to take him off the field. It's a potentially significant loss for the team and the offensive line. Hadnot was locked in a battle for the starting left-guard spot with incumbent Eric Steinbach. Hadnot also can play center. http://www.ohio.com/news/break_news/52614247.html ------------------------------------ That doesn't sound good |

This doesn't hurt as much because we have good depth on the O-line. So long as we don't lose any more, we should be ok. They'll have Floyd Womack be Eric Steinbach's backup.

I believe that he was targeted to compete on the right side of the line (where he actually belongs)...I have to ask my brother how that's been going though...he's been to a few of the practices.
