do you know how bowl games work? The bowl chooses what teams play there, the colleges don't choose what teams they want to play

I do know how they work and that's most of the time only applicable to BCS Bowls.

Non-BCS Bowls can choose teams if a conference assigned to that Bowl can not fulfil their bid.
