Terry Pluto (very respected Cleveland sports journalist.) said such an offer was never on the table for the Browns prior to and after the draft.

The 3rd round/stuckey offer was the best possible and the Browns jumped on it.

Gotcha beat. I'm about 25 miles from the stadium. It's freakin' awesome to hear these fans cry about how bad Leftwich is but yet they have very little to say about their defense not stopping opponents. My argument with them is that Leftwich was scoring some points and your defense was giving up twice as many.
