Postal Worker Steals Over 2000 GameFly Games
If you live near Philadelphia, and you wonder why you never got that game you requested from GameFly, it could have been Reginald Johnson's fault. The postal clerk pleaded guilty of stealing 2,200 games sent from GameFly.
Criminal mastermind Johnson would swipe the games as he unloaded mail from tractor trailers, then he would turn the games in for store credit from GameStop. Overall, the stolen games amounted to $86,000. Not bad for a postal clerk! When you steal that volume of games, someone is going to notice, and they did notice. Federal authorities sent some test mailings through Johnson's station, and gathered enough evidence to arrest him. When arrested, Johnson was carrying a duffel bag with 81 GameFly games in it, and he had 79 more games in his SUV, along with three Wii Fits, a Playstation console, game controllers and a GameStop receipt. Ouch! Caught red-handed! Johnson faces 12 to 18 months in Federal Pound-Me prison. U.S. District Judge Berle M. Schiller set sentencing for Jan. 13. link
