which free agents?

which free agents do you think the steelers should re sign? ,i have heard that cincy is intrested in chris hope and that new england is intrested in randle el ,hopefully the steelers can resign both as well as most of the others. i'd also like to see deshea come back i guess we'll have to wait and see!

The main ones we need to be absolutely sure we resign is Ike Taylor and Chris Hope.. We have absolutely ZERO depth at safety behind Chris and Troy..so its essential that he keeps his butt right here in Pittsburgh.

We brought Ike along and made him into the CB he is today, it would be a travesty to let such a young hot talent leave town. From what Ive seen he wants to stay so lets hope he does.

El, I would like him to stay, but Im not so sure he will want too. He likes it here with the Steelers and he is a Starter but Im afraid a ton of money might sway him too much.

Townsend is gone! I think he's one, although I do like him some...he's one we could live without. Have to resign Ike and El I think will end up in Chicago.

El can go even though I like him. I think we can survive without him. But i'm not sure if the defense can survive without Chris Hope and Ike Taylor.

I don't know...maybe you have some inside information that I don't, but I think Townsend comes back. The guy will be 31 when this next seasons starts. He's been in the league for 8 years. I think he is too old to command a huge salary. Just my feelings.

I heard Verron Haynes on NFL Radio tonight with Adam Shein and John Riggens. He said that there is going to be a big push to keep the team together and that Whisenhunt's decision to remain is going to be big for keeping it together.

I think keeping the secondary together will be a huge push for the Steelers front office, especially with the way they played as the season ended. Personally, I think keeping Taylor, Hope and Townsend is more important than keeping Randel El. However, with the way McFadden played this year, maybe Townsend is expandable. McFadden is going to be something special. That play to prevent Wayne from catching the TD was probably as big....but not getting the attention....as Big Ben's gaving saving tackle. Without that play, Wayne catches that TD and the Steelers don't even go to Denver.

I can't blame El if he leaves. This is the year he makes big money. In fact I don't think he'll make more money than he will make this year.

We need Hope though.
