MOBILE, Ala. -- Using leverage, speed, aggressiveness and a nasty streak, University of Michigan defensive end Brandon Graham dominated offensive tackles this week at the Senior Bowl.

He drew several comparisons to Pittsburgh Steelers outside linebacker LaMarr Woodley, a fellow Michigan football alum.

"It's an honor to have everybody saying that because LaMarr is a great football player," Graham said. "I've learned most of my moves from him, so I agree and like the comparison."

Graham has short arms and isn't very tall, but that doesn't appear to be an obstacle to him getting to the quarterback.

He recorded 10 1/2 sacks last season for the Wolverines, leading the nation with 26 tackles for losses.

For his career, Graham has registered 29 1/2 sacks and 56 tackles for losses.

"Good player," Ravens director of player personnel Eric DeCosta said. "We like him coming out of Michigan. Strong, explosive guy. Good motor, tenacious. He plays like a Raven. Not the biggest guy, but he plays bigger than he looks.Ē

Graham met with the Ravens, Cleveland Browns, Kansas City Chiefs, Pittsburgh Steelers and several other teams, including the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

He could project as a 3-4 hybrid outside linebacker-defensive end.

"Itís very exciting to meet with NFL teams," Graham said. "That they want to see what Iím about, thatís a blessing. I don't care where I play.

"Some teams want me to play linebacker and others havenít really said anything about the position I play. They just told me to keep that motor moving. And thatís what Iím trying to do, always."

Ultimately, Graham said he doesn't have a preference for which position he'll play.

"It doesn't matter to me," Graham said. "I'm just going to go hard no matter where I'm lined up. If you play fast and you have a motor, you're going to be on the field and you're going to be making plays. You need to be relentless out there and play hard until the whistle blows."

"He plays like a Ratbird"?

Ewwwww....

OLB is not an immediate need...I can only see us drafting this kid if he somehow falls to us and it's a BPA situation...

Based on what I saw last week, he's going to end up as a DE in a 4-3 scheme or an OLB in a 3-4, but you're right, we're pretty set at OLB. He'd be a great guy to have waiting in the wings to replace Harrison, but he's going to go in the first round (probably) and will get too large of a contract to be a roation player. With a pick where we could snag Graham, there are going to be a lot of guys we need more to make an impact right away.

I do like how he plays, though. He's going to be a really talented pass rusher in the NFL.

Too bad the Ravens don't even need him. He can't play ILB and they're set at OLB for the future with Suggs and Kuger.
We don't really need him either for the asking price.
