This gold medal game was great!
What's also great is how much attention this game, and all the Olympic hockey, has brought to the sport. Today, everyone was talking about hockey and it was covered on all sports shows, which is hardly the case ever. This AWESOME sport needs this type of recognition and hopefully will lead to a better television company picking up the rights to cover it instead of some obscure channel I can no longer get on my dish. ![]() I was sad though to see the players on team USA looking so dejected during the medal ceremony. They have nothing to hang their heads on and played one hell of a tournament. I'm very proud of them. I was glad to see Sid being the one that got to be the hero though. He looked so happy and looked, for once, like the weight of the world had been lifted from his shoulders. ![]() Congrats Sid, you've earned to have that moment of glory! |
