Lets see how much he thinks he can get done when the R's take control in Nov. People aren't going to forget they were ignored and bent over by then.

And here I hoped a few years back that there was a chance of getting rid of the IRS and maybe getting something fair like a Flat Tax or something.

When I send them my money this year, I'm going to rub the check on my arse first.

Oh wait, that would give them my DNA...dang it...Guess I'll let the wife send it safely in the mail untainted...stupid IRS....stupid DNA.

None of this really matters in the long term. The Federal government was insolvent anyway. The passage of this bill just made the end come a little sooner.
There won't be any more universal health care in 5 years. Nor Social Security, nor medicare, nor unemployment compensation, nor any of the rest of it. The government will be flat broke.
I'm not sure whether to thank Obama or blame him...

Damned straight we do. We know he's quite capable of sodomizing the American people with a red hot poker.

Exclamation Obama Health Care Plan Discussion

In order to keep the Locker Room from being clogged up with threads on the Obama Health Care Plan, I felt it best to merge all of the existing threads on this topic, just as we had to do in the Steelers forum with all of the Big Ben threads.

Please post your thoughts related to this topic in THIS thread. Thanks and happy posting!

some good news

House votes to exempt TRICARE from health reform bill

House lawmakers over the weekend voted to protect TRICARE and Defense non-appropriated fund health care beneficiaries from unintended consequences of national health reform.

The exemption (H.R. 4887) applies to the health care coverage provided by the Defense Department to military service members, retirees and their families.

It clarifies the tax code to stipulate that coverage provided by Defense is treated as minimal essential coverage, ensuring that service members and their families will not need to purchase additional coverage to meet new health insurance requirements.

Just curious, is the government healthcare for Congress too, or just for us?

Since they created and passed this bill to give us better healthcare at a better price they must be pretty excited to have it as well.
