This part of the state in particular is riddled with uneducated media, politicans and voters, rednecks with drinking problems, a poor economy and... the list goes on.
Hey, sounds like where I live.

I am glad I live in the country where I don't have to worry with stuff like that.

We're No. 1 Again! Pittsburgh Ranked Most Livable City
Economist Names Pittsburgh Most Livable City In US

PITTSBURGH --
Pittsburgh is No. 1 again, this time in The Economist magazine's ranking of the most livable city in the United States.

The British magazine's ranking comes weeks after President Barack Obama chose Pittsburgh to host the G-20 summit in September, calling it a symbol of economic recovery.

The Economist is the fourth publication in all, and first international periodical, to name the city among the country’s most livable, Channel 4 Action News’ Ari Hait reported.

Globally, the Economist survey ranked Pittsburgh 29th most livable. Vancouver, Canada tops that list.

The CEO of VisitPittsburgh, Joe McGrath, told Hait that the benefits the city will see from this title are immeasurable.

“It really does not surprise us,” McGrath said. “The attitude there has changed for the last decade and it’s been going north.”

The magazine considers stability, health care, culture and environment, education and infrastructure.

Pittsburghers told Hait there is much more than just that.

“It’s the people,” Georgiana Thomas of Mt. Lebanon said. "It's definitely the people.”

“Everybody’s nice. Everybody gets along with everybody,” Franz Garcia of Mt. Lebanon said.

The Economist also cited Pittsburgh’s cultural amenities as reason for the top rank. It said the city's downtown theaters and diverse collection of museums all weighed heavily on the decision.

Other factors listed by The Economist included Pittsburgh's top-rated medical centers and highly ranked universities.

Pittsburgh's economy was decimated when the U.S. steel industry collapsed 30 years ago. It has been struggling to recover ever since.

I think there was never a dought who in the hell would want to live in Cleveland when we have a city as nice as Pittsburgh.
