Jarhead?
Has anybody seen this movie? I'm debating on renting it but I've heard from a few people that it tends to have a left wing spin and I'm personally trying to avoid that scenario. Is it worth renting for those who have seen the movie?

I seen it at the movies and didn't really think it was all that great.
There's basically no combat action or boot camp stuff so if you're were looking for it to be a "Full Metal Jacket" type of movie, (that's what I thought it was going to be like).....this isn't that type of movie. IMO save the rental fee. |

IMO it was a very good movie, it wasnt supposed to be a shootem up type of movie. Its about what actually goes on when your over there, the day to day bull and how it screws with your head and the overall affect of war on the people that fight it. Its about the people rather than the war...

So I got one good and one bad. I would prefer to see combat scenes. So I'm probably going to stay away from it. Maybe watch it when it comes on TV. Thanks for the info and opinions. Much appreciated.

Since we are on the topic of war movies, does anybody know the exact date when Spielberg's HBO mini-series is coming out dealing with the Pacific theatre? I heard 2006, but curious of the exact month or date.
