'Recruitment' of Brett Favre: All bets were off in trio's trip vs. clock
MINNEAPOLIS -- Ryan Longwell planned to celebrate his 36th birthday last Monday by having dinner with his wife and two kids. His plans changed when Vikings coach Brad Childress pulled him, Jared Allen and Steve Hutchinson aside after practice. "I called [wife Sarah] and said, 'I have good news and bad news,'" Longwell said.
