Tomlin expects fans to welcome back Roethlisberger
By Scott Brown, PITTSBURGH TRIBUNE-REVIEW Tuesday, October 12, 2010 Last updated: 12:39 pm Coach Mike Tomlin said he doesn't know how well Ben Roethlisberger will play Sunday after a lengthy layoff. Tomlin did make one prediction regarding the Steelers quarterback and how fans at Heinz Field will react to his return from a four-game suspension. "I expect him to get a warm reception," Tomlin said today at his weekly news conference, "I really do." Roethlisberger will play in his first regular-season game since last January when the Steelers host the Browns ar 1 p.m. Tomlin said Roethlisberger has practiced well since returning to the Steelers last week. But, Tomlin added, that doesn't necessarily translate into Roethlisberger playing well against the Browns. In other news Steelers news: • Tomlin said he hasn't decided whether Charlie Batch or Byron Leftwich will serve as the Steelers' No. 2 quarterback. • Also undecided, Tomlin said, in who will return kickoffs and punts Sunday. Tomlin said rookie Emmanuel Sanders is a candidate to do both. The third-round draft pick has not dressed since the Steelers' season opener as fellow rookie Antonio Browns has gotten the active roster spot that he and Sanders have been battling for on a weekly basis. • Tomlin said nose tackle Chris Hoke is expected to play after missing the Steelers' last game with a sprained knee. Right guard Trai Essex is questionable, Tomlin said, as he was only able to participate in individual drills yesterday. http://www.pittsburghlive.com/x/pitt.../s_703950.html |

Let BR throw a touchdown (or 5) and everybody will be cheering then.

if training camp was any indication, i don't think Tomlin or Ben have to worry much about boos other than from the 10 Browns fans that will be in attendance.
