I was going to quote something Similar and while they may have speed you don't need the field over run with players that may not run the proper route and end up where they should not be because most good throws are made before the receiver breaks into the proper route and if the Wide Receiver is in the wrong place what do you think will happen. Holmes is missed so much because of his great ability to run the proper routes and then the speed element comes into play for all the YAC he gave us. Wallace right now is more of a out and go guy you put it up because he is faster than the coverage.

I doubt if the 2 rookies are better route runners than what we have on the field right now.

Randle El has been a disappointment on special teams as punt returner, virtually has done nothing. On offense he threw a TD pass to Wallace but he lacks speed on the gimmick plays (jet sweep) .
Here is a thought though, sit A R E down for a game and activate Brown with Sanders. Both have speed and Sanders is a good route runner and could do what El does.
I know that is likely not going to happen but I think it is an intriguing idea.

I agree...time for these young guys to get open and make some plays. They are capable...Sanders has already made a few plays for us. But if they can get more into the offense, it will open things up for Hines...and maybe Mendy for the check down. I'd like to see us go play action more and use more receivers.

I agree, other teams are doing the same. Their all goin short fast plays and it works.

Team is playing fine. Its the 4th quarter philosophy that is killing this team. Last year, it cost them 5 straight games and no playoffs. This year, they almost blew 3 games.
