PITTSBURGH INDIVIDUAL NOTES RB Rashard Mendenhall Needs 38 yards rushing to post his second straight 1,000-yard rushing season. He currently has 962 yards rushing on the season and totaled a career-best 1,108 rushing yards in 2009. WR Mike Wallace Needs 208 yards receiving to post his first career 1,000-yard season. He has already surpassed last seasons total of 756 receiving yards as he now has 792 yards in 2010. Needs five receiving touchdowns to break the teams single-season record, which is 12 held by Hines Ward (2002), Louis Lipps (1985) and Buddy Dial (1961). Needs receptions to set a career high for catches in a season. He currently has 36 after finishing with 39 as a rookie in 2009. LB James Harrison Needs 1.5 sacks to reach 50 for his career, becoming just the seventh player in team history to total at least 50 career sacks. Needs one forced fumble to match his career high of seven and to tie the team record for forced fumbles in a season, which he currently shares with Greg Lloyd (1994). Harrison had seven in 2008 and has forced six in 2010.

Got to win field position. That means deep punts and kickoffs and solid returns as well. It's gonna be difficult to make 70 and 80 yard drives against B-More. Can't turn the ball over. O-line has to show up. Dbs have to show up. It won't be a high scoring game, but we've got take advantage of opportunities. Hope Arians has some new stuff in his playbook because they know us as well as we know them.

IDK why but I have an inkling feeling this is gonna be a huge night for our rookie wideouts. Something's just telling me that both of those guys are gonna make some huge plays tonight.

Bouchette's pre-game post on PG+ says Steelers are doomed with "everybody" picking Baltimore (I guess Peter King & New York Times Fifth Down are not part of "everybody" since they picked the Steelers
). Bouchette does not believe Steelers can run and that Ben's immobility will be a big hindrance on passingOne point on which I agree with Ed.B. is that Steelers D needs to create some turnovers to give the offense a short field for some scores |

Ugh. I turned on the TV only to see Ray the Knife jumping around and yelling like a tool.
I had to mute it until kickoff. |
