Default Farrior doesn't regret move from Jets to Steelers

Farrior doesn't regret move from Jets to Steelers
By John Harris
Saturday, December 18, 2010

Defensive captain James Farrior got his NFL start with the New York Jets. Farrior was Jets coach Bill Parcells' first first-round draft pick, No. 8 overall from Virginia. Farrior signed with the Steelers as a free agent in 2002 and has won two Super Bowls and played in three AFC Championship Games. The Jets have had five coaches and played in one AFC Championship Game since Farrior left. "I expected to be with the Jets. They were the team that drafted me,'' Farrior said. "But you know how the business is. You learn that sometimes you've got to go to other teams. I was fine with the decision they made. I was happy to be here. Everything worked out great. I couldn't have been in a better situation. I love this team."

Free safety Ryan Clark isn't paying attention to recent criticism of Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez, who's 34 of 77 for 380 yards, no touchdowns, four interceptions and a 36.6 passer rating in his last two starts both losses. "We were singing Mark Sanchez's praises early in the year," Clark said. "He had turned the corner. He was leading them back every game. They were winning in overtime. He was making key plays. All of a sudden, the kid can't play and he should be benched. We're not buying into any of that. They're a good football team, a team that was picked to win the Super Bowl by a lot of 'experts.' We're going to play it that way."

Linebacker James Harrison will use money given him by fans to help pay his NFL fines to throw a Christmas party for needy children and their families.

As Harrison accumulated $125,000 in fines for four different infractions, fans began sending him money to help pay them. Many were sent anonymously, so Harrison could not return them.

Harrison decided last month to take the money and start the James Harrison Family Foundation, a nonprofit organization that will assist children in emergency situations. The foundation's first event will be a brunch with Santa Claus at Heinz Field today, with other Steelers expected to attend.

The foundation is designed to aid children with illnesses or disabilities and families in crisis situations.

Tight end Heath Miller (concussion) returned to practice Friday after sitting out the first two days. He's questionable for Sunday. Linebacker James Harrison sat out early in the week because of illness but practiced yesterday and is expected to play. Defensive tackle Steve McLendon (stinger) is doubtful.

Jets defensive end Trevor Pryce (hip) and safety Eric Smith (concussion) are out. Safety James Ihedigbo (ankle, knee) is questionable. Former Pitt standout Darrelle Revis (hamstring) was limited yesterday but is probable.

This shows you just how STUPID reporters are.

First off, what answer did he expect to get from Farrior? Other than what he received?

2 superbowls
Dominating LB
Coaches that dont get fired they only retire from the Steelers
Solid player that the team for the most part is loyal
A winning atmosphere
A qb that doesn't choke on his spit

Did he expect Farrior to say:
Sucks here
Coaches are buttheads
Players look at me funny when I'm taking a shower.

Give me a b reak, lol

WTF? Does anybody know if Miller is playing or not? The PG says he went through a full practice Friday and is expected to play, then I go to NFL.COM and it says he is out for Sunday, and everywhere else I read he is expected to play. I am so confused!
