That's good...I was pretty sure even in the event that they somehow dropped the two remaining games that they would still be assured a playoff spot.

That's what they said. Magic number is 2 to win the division.

That's it. If we get 2 wins or 2 Ravens losses or 1 of each we will be the division Champs. We will be the 2 seed as long as we win the division at 11-5 or better.

Default Re: *Playoff Scenarios*

Well I was worried that we might lose the next 2 and be out. But that can't happen as we are officially in even though we lost today. So the good news is that even if we end at 10-6 we will still be the 6 seed.

Default Steelers Clinched Playoffs

We're in the playoffs and are 2nd seed for now.

If we look on the bright side, this loss actually ain't all that bad as long as we don't REALLY mess up in the next two games...

1. We still clinched playoffs and still contorl our destiny...as long as we win both of our remaining games we get the 2 seed and bye week, which was the best we could have ended up with even if we did win today (unless the Patrots lost the rest of their games, which isn't happening)

2. We keep the Jets tied with the same record as the Ravens, giving them a SHOT at the 5 seed. a Ravens win and Jets loss today would have just about guarunteed the Ravens the 5 seed, and ideally we want them to get the 6 seed so that they *likely* face the Patriots in the divisional round. Now if the Saints could have come back on that final drive and given the Ravens a loss, this playoff scenario would look a whole lot more favorable to us right now, but with the Jets win theres still a CHANCE it will play out to our ideal scenario, we just need the Jets to win out and the Ravens to lose to either the Bengals or Browns...
