I think it's just a bunch of pre-game disinformation.

No way. I want Ray Ray on the field. I watched him exclusively against the Cheifs and the plays he didn't spend on his back he was running at the pile 3 seconds after the tackle. And I don't buy the whole he's the emotional leader slant either. If they want to spend a position on the field for a cheerleader then so be it. That's fine with me.

Watch him today. Win or lose... it won't be because of Ray Lewis. He's a has-been.

Assuming he is sick, Rice will play through the miracles of modern medicine
Just lets you know how powerful their cheating scheme was.

Having a stomach flu is a tough thing on a football player. He will not have any fuel in his belly for 24 hours. Even if they dump some IV sugar into him, he's still going to be weak.

Something important not mentioned and isn't given the credit it deserves is the health of the Ravens center. If he plays, he's obviously going to be on a less than 100% knee going against Big Snack, where even a healthy center has trouble. If he doesn't play, then it's a back-up in a key role (fumbled snaps, missed assignments and blown line calls). Have fun with that Ratbirds!

Just announced on ESPN. Ravens admit Rice had the stomach flu, but said it was minor and he will play today. There you have it.

ESPN reported that Ravens running back Ray Rice is not feeling well heading into the big game on Saturday. Rice reportedly started feeling ill on Friday afternoon and has been vomiting at the team’s hotel.

If he is not healthy enough to play in tomorrow’s game, it would severely hurt the Ravens' chance to win in Pittsburgh.

The latest odds for this game as posted by online sportsbook, Skybook, have the Ravens listed as three-point underdogs, but that is subject to change depending on Rice’s status.

Rice is a key cog in the offense and had 17 carries for 57 yards on the ground in the victory against the Kansas City Chiefs, to advance to this game. Rice is known for turning small swing passes into huge gains and bailing out quarterback Joe Flacco, when the pressure gets to him.

Although the Ravens are deep in the running back position with Willis McGahee, Rice is a focal point of the Ravens offense.

The illness has yet to be identified, but if it is the flu, then other players could be affected although reports have yet to surface.

It is too late for the Ravens to alter the game plan if Rice is unable to play, putting the onus on the other backs to perform against a very good Pittsburgh run defense.

This has the potential to be a closely contested game between two bitter rivals, but without Rice the Ravens could be in trouble.
I hope he is VERY SICK

or is it just one of these "Tom Brady, i'm sick, but, oh yeah, i'm going to play" type of things where in fact, he wasn't sick at all.

He's the Peyton Manning of that defense, if he isn't on the field, they are only 50% effective. No way some 2 year backup knows whats going on well enough to do what he does.

To do what he does? You mean pile on top of the person who is already tackled and take credit for the tackle. Ray Lewis is the most overhyped player in the league by far. It is just his ugly mug and his big mouth that attracts the media to him. I hope Pouncey gets to the second level and knocks him on his arse repeatedly in today's game.
