A Smith out for AFC Championship game

NFL network scrolling that Smith will not play Sunday. Not surprised, and Hood is playing well.

It sure looks like the release of Gibson was a gamble that has not and will not pay off.

Yeah, that was costly for us in the long run, but in the short-term, Ziggy is playing so well that I don't really miss Aaron Smith that much anymore (on the field, of course-- I cannot imagine how much he means to our lockerroom).

If Ziggy can continue to stuff the run the way he has, AND continue to collapse the pocket so opposing QBs cannot step up to avoid the rush, Aaron can finally retire (if he wants to, that is; as far as I am concerned, and sure I am not alone, Aaron can play football for us as long as he wishes LOL) and our run defense won't go in the weeds.

i think we all knew that was coming. I'm sure the same thing will happen if we make it to the SB
