Hi Everyone!

I just got through with the registration process, so I suppose I should tell you guys a little bit about me. I've been a die-hard Steelers fan for 38 years now. Whether they are doing well, or are struggling to win games, I proudly wear my Black & Gold on Sunday's. I'm a Steelers fan for life...no matter what!!!

I suppose I'm a bit of an old school fan, because I favor the running game over an arial attack, and like watching our defense MUCH more than the offense. Apparently this is the exact opposite of newer fans of the NFL.

My favorite Steeler right now is Hines Ward, for a plethora of reasons. But mainly because I believe his toughness, both physically & mentally, epitomize what a Steeler should be like. He has played his whole career for the Steelers [which I LOVE!] isn't afraid to criticize Ben right to his face, and doesn't complain when he's not getting the ball that much. He's a team player FIRST. I could go on & on listing the desireable virtues of Hines, but I'm sure you guys already know all of thet. I believe he is the most under-rated WR in NFL history. Even today, at the end of his career, if I was charged with the task of assembling a team with anyone of my own choosing, I would begin with Hines Ward at WR. He's everything an NFL player, and a Steeler should be, and more.

welcome to the board fellow ohioan. I hear you about Ward, an all-time Steeler great. Pittsburgh is the only place Ward could play his game, and we'd have it no other way. Glad to have you here.

I'm really glad I found this place, because I've had it with the FoxSports blogs. There's WAY too many idiots who don't have a clue about football, OR the Steelers in particular over there.

I am! I always think to myself, its such a privilege to see this defense play week in and week out.

i'm living in the Youngstown area. I was still really young and just getting into football when Woodson was around, but man that guy was great. That guy could take over a game like nobody else.

Yeah, i really enjoy watching the D the most. I'm too pessimistic to enjoy watching their Offense, I'm always about to lose it when they make one little mistake.

I'm also a die-hard Michigan Wolverine fan, so it's a requirement to hate the Buckeyes....LOL

Yeah, Rod was something special, and truly a pleasure to watch perform. I happen to believe he's one of the best ever at his position(s). The Steelers offense has made great strides this year I think. I enjoy watching them too, but defense is just my thing. Always has been. I think Steeler Nation has a love affair with our defense, and they should. I can't remember the last time I was disappointed in them. They always seem to deliver what I'm jonsin' for. VIOLENT HITS!
