I like the second pick.
Most people are saying corner is our biggest need, but I would have to disagree. I think it's NT. For the immediate future we need a CB more than a NT, but the Steelers build for longevity. They don't draft players to start the very next season. This season, the secondary might not have been our strongest unit, but we have decent depth, and they're all younger than 30 (corners anyway) . I know everybody likes to hate on Gay and McFadden, but they aren't as bad as everybody makes them out to be. Ike Taylor being as good as he is makes them look worse. Anyway, we can get by with who have for a few seasons. At nose tackle we have no viable option after the Big Snack, and he'll be 34 next season. It's imperative that we get somebody to replace him pronto. IMO, Marvin Austin is a beast. |
