I don't know if any of ye would be interested, but my (2nd) FAVORITE sporting tournament is underway: the RBS Six Nations.
http://www.rbs6nations.com/en/home.php http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rugby_U...s_Championship This is a fantastic round-robin style tournament in a tough, hard-nosed sport that separates the men from the boys. There are lots of little rules in rugby but you'll get the gist of it quick enough. There is no forward passing and no "blocking" for runs. Basically the ball (ball carrier) is supposed to spearhead the attack. Any teammates in front of the ball are basically off-side and can't be involved in the play, except when it's a scrum. |
