Yes, we love our Pouncy. That pick turned out to be a very good pick. He came in and not only played lights out, but also has already proven to be a leader, and, no matter what, you need leaders to compete for a ring. Yes, he has a twin brother who is projected to be the best OG in the draft. Yes, it would be cool having both brothers on our OL. But F ____NO_____ is OG enough priority that we take on in the first round, not to mention, having to give up picks to move up and get him. This article that came out better be a smoke screen (and this clowns think playing these poker games some how gives them a better chance of having a good draft; I don't see it as legit, but they must play their game.) Stop the madness (If they are seriously thinking about moving up to draft him.) We had 3rd and 4th stringers playing OT last year and our starters are below average to being with. Our CB situation is in dire need to upgrading, and that is before we lose Ike. OGs are rarely worthy of 1st round picks to BEGIN with. (I know, Faneca, etc. but generally speaking OG is not the way to go in the 1st.) Kemo is a dumb troglodyte who makes mistakes every game and whiffs on some pass blocking for sure. But he is serviceable. We can still win rings with him in there. Colon could easily move to RG and actually excel there better than he does playing OT. And then we'd have depth with our back ups. OG is NOT the best way to improve this team. It might seem cute to have the twins playing next to each other, but not so cute that I'd ruin the team's future over it. Grab Aaron Williams and call it a day. He's big, fast enough and has instincts to cover. In the 2nd there will be some quality prospects at OT and DE at our pick. I will be really pissed if they don't go CB and OL in the first two picks. |

Pouncey is the only non-cornerback I fully support taking in the first or trading up for. I desparately want a first round talent at corner too, but I will fully support the FO if they trade up for Pouncey instead, as long as its not a "Ricky Williams-Ditka" type trade where we lose everything for him. Id be cool with, say, swapping firsts with somebody and giving up our 3rd and a late rounder to move into the teens and take him.
Picture this: if we draft Pouncey, our Oline could go Starks-Pouncey-Pouncey-Colon-Adams. That could make our offense deadly enough to make up for the weak secondary. I don't think any other Olineman would be a good enough pick to take over a corner tho. If we do trade up for Pouncey, and Ras-I Dowling slips into the mid second, I would also stronly consider trading for him. I know it would require giving up A LOT of picks between the two trades but I think they'd both be big enough difference makers that it would be completely worth it. |

I think the Pouncey talk will amount to a bunch of nothing personally; however, I disagree with you that no OG is worth taking in the first round. Having 2 spots on our o-line be GOOD, and I mean GOOD, for years to come would be awesome.
In the first round it is always best to try to get the best sure thing you can, even if it isn't your highest priority. As for the rest, I've seen a lot of your posts constantly accusing the steelers front office and coaches of all types of "madness" and stupidity, you talk about these guys like they've been running a franchise kin to the bengals or redskins. I'm not saying they don't make their mistakes, but you're rambling on like their blind and leading the franchise into doom at every turn. |

I don't believe we'll go with a cornerback let alone trade up for one. I think we run with the best available player at that particular moment when we're on the clock. It would be nice to reunite the twins but I doubt we break a sweat trying to get him.

Just as you have the freedom to express your opinions, no matter how stupid, I have the freedom to point out their stupidity, no matter how obvious. If you don't like it I recommend either not reading my posts or not posting stupid shit.
Your the main one whining on here, just another talking muff who couldn't coach a peewee team to a winning record posing as a serious thinker. |
