Default Patrick Peterson no stronger than most of us

I was looking at combine #s and was shocked to see Peterson
only put up 15 reps at 225? The man is a freak of nature, with insane
speed for his size but only 15 reps? I was shocked to see that. Not
that I believe he will prove too weak to make an awesome DB, but
for a guy so freakish, I couldn't believe he put up less reps than many
(or most?) of the posters in here would put up!

15 reps of 225 is not as easy as you make it seem. Especially for a DB. LB's, OL, DL, etc. yes. Receivers and DB's not so much.

I've been watching him for 3 years at LSU (die hard tiger fan) and there have been several times that he layed the wood on receivers. I can remember a play when I was at the Alabama game last season and he stopped Julio Jones right in his tracks to prevent a first down. PP7 is a flat out stud! I know the Steelers won't get him but man it would be awesome to have Ike on one side and PP7 on the other!

I don't pay attention to that stuff. That's pretty good for a corner coming out of college but even though strength is key and the NFL looks to most core lifts from the combine, but bench press is a very unique position RARELY EVER used in a real life stance, let alone football stance so I wouldn't fret it.

I've seen the tape on Peterson. The dude hits like a mack-truck and the tape NEVER lies. For the record, De'Angello Hall was timed as one of the fastest 40's ever and I've seen Hines outrun Hall 60 yards to the endzone with one shoe on.

Since when is Peterson a Steeler? We have a draft section for threads like this.

It's too bad we don't have a bad poetry section for posts formatted like yours.

prolly is a freak cause he's fast. muscle can always be put on with some offseasons in the gym and maybe some hgh lol. you can't teach fast though. sure I can crank out almost 15 reps at 225, but there's no way in hell i can run a 4.4 40.

15 reps at 225 for a 220 lb NFL player who is not a QB or kicker?
It might not be too easy for 175 WR or CB, but that is not the case here.
