Has crap economy changed your Steeler habits?

Just wondering how many of you may:

- go to less games.
- give up season tickets
- buy less Steeler gear
- forgo NFL ticket (for those out of viewing area)
- go out less to bars

There is no questions lots of fans have changed their buying habits
due to the cluster f---k we are in. And it's obvious nothing is going to
get any better in the foreseeable future.

I used the lousy economy as this year's excuse to go to DirecTV and say i was not willing to pay full price - they knocked $100 off The Ticket and gave me Sunday Ticket To Go for free

Yeah just call em telling you want to cancel, then re apply, they'll give it to ya free!

That works but you have to put it in somebody else's name. You can't cancel and then re-sign and get new customer deals. You can cancel and put it in your wife's name however, and get the new customer deal with the Sunday ticket. I know this for a fact.

True...thats what i did. I dont understand why their giving it free when new customers sign up for it.....Us people that had it for years should get the deals.

In my experience, if you want freebies, you don't even have to go through
with actually canceling. Just call asking to cancel and when they ask why
say you can't quite afford it, but maybe you could if they would give X for
free. They usually do it and you don't have to go through the process of actually
canceling.

I just switched from cable to Directv and I have to say, it was an unbelievably good decision. My bill was cut down by 40 bucks, and that's after my free 3 month trial for the premiums.

If any of you are serious about going to Directv, and I would defiantly go now to do it, especially if you are on cable, they are offering practically everything for free like 2 dvr set up and all that stuff.

You also get 100 bucks off that is stretched out to 10 dollars off a month for 10 months. I used my buddy as the refer guy when i joined, saved 100 there, then i refereed 2 of my friend and got another 200 bucks.

Here's my account number: 34204835. If you are serious about switching, use that account number when you call and you will get 100 bucks off your bill right off the bat. I highly recommend it. I got Sunday ticket for free for this year too.
