Even though it's only one man's opinion, this is why I don't question or have a problem with what the FO does year by year when it comes to the draft or FA signings. I have no complaints. I just let them do their thing and I sit back and watch the results....Super Bowl XL Champs being the most recent result.

It's from a paper in California so there isn't any local bias one way or the other either.

The Browns are deservedly at #32, too. It'd be difficult to have worse drafts than they've had, figuring even a retarded GM would ACCIDENTALLY draft a few good players.

I might have moved the Patriots and the Bengals up a couple of spots and put them both somewhere around #3. Both have 11 starters from those drafts. Both have worked some late round magic with their picks, especially the Bengals with Rudi Johnson in the 4th round and TJ Houshmandzadeh in the 7th round.
Steelers at #1 seems about right I suppose. Can't argue with Hampton, Polamalu, Roethlisberger. |

The Pats deserve a higher ranking, but this article is indicative of how much the NFL is a "What have you done for me lately" kind of thing...

If you look at some of the players drafted by the lower teams, it shows that the system has alot to do with how the players become better. I think TJ Ducket, Joey Harrington, etc would have done fine with the Steelers. Look at the Raiders lately, terrible coaching and FO. The Lions . . . you could not ask for a worse GM. The Bungals were terrible till their new coach took over. The Browns will be better every year I am guessing. If you look at the top teams around the league, it is not the talent of the players that makes them good, it is the coaching. Sure talent helps, but look at the Redskins . . . they can buy all the talent in the world and it will do them no good until they get a solid base of young players that can get some continuity and a better coaching staff to develop them.
