Cary Williams, on the practice squad last year and with one career start, vs. Mike Wallace. Good luck with that.

And your deep passing game? Lee Evans?

He had 37 catches last year. 44 the year before. He had 1 catch for 9 yards against the Steelers last season.

Hmmmm...

I'm not sure I've ever seen Ben "test" any given d-back before. He throws to the open receiver. Something tells me that by the end of this game, Jimmy Smith will feel picked on, but I doubt that's by design. The Steelers had two rooky WRs who, by the end of the year, were making pro bowl veteran CBs look pretty foolish. So good luck to the two new guys in your secondary.

Boldin and Evans aren't exactly an upgrade considering you lost Mason and Heap and your other 4 WRs don't have a single start between all of them (although not surprising when 3 are rookies)

Not to mention that their two starting TEs - Ed Dickson & Dennis Pitta - have 12 receptions between them. I'm not putting them down, both look pretty good. Pitta has really good hands, and Dickson can move for a man of 6'4 255. It's just that neither one is very good at blocking - Dickson reminds me of Spaeth.

They replaced Heap, their best red zone threat and a capable (and willing) blocker. Everyone here in Baltimore likes to justify getting rid of Heap, 'cause he had injury issues and because they have these 2 young kids, but they will miss Heap's production - no doubt about it.

They are not a better team starting one of the two kids over Heap. Period.

I'd be willing to bet I can name 2 kids that make the Steelers a better team when they start over Ward
