And criticism of one lousy player (J Scott) doesn't mean we don't support the Steelers it means this guy is lousy. We know talent, we're Steelers fans, which means we know when there's no talent... It's simple really. We aren't 'bashing' the team just pointing out the obvious...

Like I said in other threads, I am sure Jonathan Scott is a better LT than I would be right now, so I am not going to bash the guy, but as a Steelers fan-- one cannot avoid the observation that he IS BAD FOR THIS TEAM. TERRIBLE, as a matter of fact. The Steelers MUST have been up against the cap to have brought him back after how badly he did for the last 12 weeks of last year.

I salute ALL the guys for their effort, but we cannot avoid the truth-- some players are better than others, and some just plain stink compared to the others.

I am sure all the bashing doesn't hurt Jonathan Scott's feelings too much-- he is probably making more money than any of us, to play for a team that we would love to play for for free. And at the end of the day, he may be the worse OT in the NFL, but how many people can say they play Offensive Tackle for THE Pittsburgh Steelers?

Scott sucks. Defend him all you want as a Steeler. But when Ben gets killed and we end up with Batch or Dixon as a starter, you will understand why most of us hate him. He should be benched. He really should be thrown off the team but we have so few O-linemen left, he will be going nowhere.

I'm on the fence with this - because if they could just stay healthy they would get the time they need to gel so we can at least block the blindside or sell the run enough to set up the play action - but here comes the Kugler Patchwork Special again and here comes a whole different group of men on Sunday @ Houston. If Ben gets seriously hurt - Scott will go down as one of the most hated Steelers ever - because it isn't about just a QB's season - it is about this core group of guys that most likely are making their final stand.

I feel like this group (coaches included) are refusing to come out and say - yea this is it - this is our last chance for some of these men. They need to recognize it in some form or fashion - maybe this is just a fan perspective - but I feel like it is the big pink elephant in the room. I think if they play the disrespect, redemption, win one for so and so . . . it would be a great rallying cry.
