Carson Palmer finally got what he wanted, and the Raiders may have salvaged their promising season.

By Marcio Jose Sanchez, AP

Palmer, who's sat out the entire 2011 campaign in semi-retirement to date after vowing to never again play for the Bengals, will head to Oakland for a 2012 first-round draft pick and a 2013 selection that could escalate to a first-rounder."This deal is done," said ESPN's Chris Mortensen on SportsCenter Tuesday morning.
Ya know, I think this might be a good move for Palmer. We know he's talented and we know he's been frustrated as hell in Suck Town, Ohio. Give him a chance! Don't count him out until we see what he does. He could just shock the hell out of all of us!!

Good Luck to you Chris Palmer. I hope this move is a good thing for you and yours. And I do mean that even though I'm a 10000000% Steeler fan!!!

Damn between this and Dalton looking like a legit NFL QB. We may have to worry about the Bengals in the near future. And did Al Davis's spirit demand this trade from a ouija board? Really what a bad trade. Two possible first round draft picks for Palmer? Maybe he'll play better now that he's out of Cincy but still I don't see that much of a difference between Palmer now and Jason Campbell.

At the rate they're going, they won't have any picks to trade! I'm pretty sure they are down to 2 late round draft picks in the 2012 draft and that's it.

palmers resume alone shows he should be of 3rd round value at best.
just when the raiders started to show glimmers of competence ( descent draft ) , they pull this stupid move. i'm not knocking them for going after palmer since there alternative was to start boller , but damn they sure did let the bungholes screw em. winning just 1 playoff games will cost em 2 FIRST ROUND PICKS !!!

raiders ----> <----bengals
