a broken leg and forearm? he sounds pretty tough to me. broken bones are usually freak accidents and dont show a lack of conditionning like torn ligaments or pulled tendons would suggest. maybe he just has a wreckless running style.

Maybe Humes needs to start taking Vitamin D supplements or drinking more milk.
Multiple injuries that cost playing time regardless of the hows or whys I would think have to be a concern??

im not too concerned. of course were all a little wary cause of how duce has gone thus far but in reality all rb's are injury prone. its just part of the position. i have to say willie held up pretty good last year though. especially with the ankle sprain and playing 4 extra games in the playoffs. and if you saw him throwing out the 1st pitch at the pirates game, dude is yoked.

Another common misconception. At LB, the Steelers currently have:

-Farrior, Kriewaldt and Farriors younger brother Matt at LILB
-Haggins, Harrison and Malcolm Postell at ROLB
- Larry Foote, Rian Wallace, Richard Seigler at RILB
- Joey Porter, Andre Frazier and Arnold Harrison at ROLB

They are 3 deep at every position.

We're not 3 deep at LB. Four of those players mentioned above were not on the team last year and likely won't make the team this year either.

I'm very surprised they didn't take a single LB.

12 LB's / 4 LB positions = 3 Deep. If we drafted 2, we'd be at 14, and we are only going to carry probably 8 anyway. We addressed LB last year.

why draft someone if you know they wont make the team? we have a 53 man roster. we cant stock it with 20 lb's especially if everyone wants superstars at the position 2 deep. if there was an lb worth drafting in the later rounds the steelers wouldve pulled the trigger. the fact that neither them or the pats took one says alot about what was available. not drafting one wont hurt us one bit.

His 40 time seems pretty fast considering his bulky size.... he is definitely worth a flyer.

Well I guess we got our big back. It should be intersting to see the how the situation with our running backs pans out.
