the work outs are to keep these rich youngsters (including veteran cracksmokers like m. irvin) from getting fat and lazy and to keep them out of trouble. granted college isnt the best place for that, but i dont see him falling off track at this point. he'll be fine and so will the team.

Oh I have no concerns bout him getting out of shape or getting into trouble. I just think you cannot discount missing the reps, learning the playbook and forming bonds with his teammates. It has to have some impact, but he has the luxury of low expectations for the first part of the season to catch up.

He'll be fine. He's a smart kid, and he'll have plenty of time in work outs, coaching sessions, and training camp to learn and get up to speed. Plus he's finishing school, so thats a good thing.

I'm not sure why the media is only reporting that Holmes can't practice with his team. The fact is, NONE of the Buckeyes will be able to practice until June, along with any other players from colleges that have late graduation dates. It's an NFL rule.

Also, Santonio Holmes is not graduating this year...he's only a junior.

If he was from a small school with less tradition I would be concerned a bit... but schools like OSU are football factories.... he will be in shape and ready to go.

I would like to believe that you are willing to admit that clarett was the exception at OSU not the rule.

Oh yeah.... i am not a buckeye fan ... and its a good thing too... would hate to win 1st national title in a long while and then act like the guy who might have been the most important player on that team doesnt exist anymore.... I know a lot of buckeye fans that try to pull that act off.
